2026 CPA Ontario Fellow Nominations

An FCPA is the highest honour that can be bestowed on a member and signifies reaching the pinnacle of the profession.

To become a Fellow, a CPA needs to be nominated by 2 members of CPA Ontario. Both the nominators and the nominees must be members in good standing. Nominations are evaluated by the FCPA Selection Committee and confirmed by the Council of CPA Ontario.

Nominees are assessed based on their personal accomplishments in their careers, while serving and contributing to their profession, and as active and engaged members of their communities.

Nominating a member as a Fellow is exclusive to members of CPA Ontario and allows them to celebrate the success of top CPAs deserving of this accolade. Being nominated as a Fellow is a significant accomplishment in itself signifying the respect and admiration of the nominating CPA and those who have supported the nomination. To avoid perceived conflicts of interest, CPAs on the CPA Ontario Council or employed by CPA Ontario cannot be a nominee or nominator.

Other than being exceptional, there is no typical Fellow; they come from organizations of all types and sizes, with a variety of accomplishments across the three categories (career, contributions to the profession and through community service).

As a group and as individuals, the Fellows’ stories highlight the leadership roles CPAs play in our economy and our community. Achieving and maintaining the CPA designation prepares individuals for a lifetime of success and service that benefits us all. By celebrating the success of our top members, we celebrate the profession as a whole and inspire other members to aspire to become a Fellow.

Nominations are now open and close on Friday, July 31, 2026. The FCPA Selection Committee evaluates the nominations over the summer and brings their recommendations to Council’s September meeting. Once the chosen nominees are confirmed as Fellows, CPA Ontario will contact them to provide the good news.

To streamline and improve the nomination and review process, 2026 Fellow nominations will be submitted online via SurveyMonkey Apply, a dedicated award management platform trusted by over 500 organizations, including leading universities, provincial bodies, and national charities. All submitted information is securely stored and shared only with authorized individuals involved in the Fellow due diligence and selection process.

The nominee must complete the Acceptance of Nomination by Nominee and Self-Attestation before the nomination package can be submitted. Nominators should invite the nominee as a Collaborator so they can complete and electronically sign the form. Click on "Add collaborator" button to invite the nominee.

A second nominator can be invited to contribute to the nomination forms using the Collaborator tool. Click on "Add collaborator" button to invite the nominator.

Nomination packages will be locked upon submission. If you notice any issues with your completed nomination package after submitting it, please contact [email protected] as soon as possible and prior to the submission deadline of July 31, 2026.

To submit more than one nomination, click “Apply” on the home page to begin a new nomination. You may work on multiple nominations concurrently, but each nomination must be submitted separately.
