Meghan Roach

Meghan’s journey to becoming the President & CEO of Roots Corporation reflects her financial acumen and impactful leadership style. Starting in accounting, she spent over a decade in private equity. Meghan was involved in the majority acquisition of Roots before becoming a Board member, then later interim CFO and CEO in 2020. Her innovative campaigns and workforce development initiatives fueled growth in margin and profits, reduced debt obligations, and improved liquidity. From taking a minimal salary during the pandemic to supporting diverse causes through the Roots Cares program, she leads by example, showcasing the strength of character needed to be a leader.

Meghan consistently finds time to offer advice and guidance to others. She is a vice-chair of the Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital Foundation and has held numerous public and private company board roles.

Meghan’s achievements have earned her numerous awards including being named a Top International Women in Retail (2021), Women of the Year (2021), one of The Peak’s Emerging Leaders (2022), and one of Canada's Most Powerful CEOs and Top 100 Most Powerful Women in Canada (2023).
