Ambassador Program Agreement and Release

By clicking to accept this Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario (“CPA Ontario”) Ambassador Program Agreement and Release you (the “Ambassador”) acknowledge the following terms and conditions and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

  1. The Ambassador acknowledges and agrees that registration as an ambassador with the CPA Ontario Ambassador Program is not considered complete until this acceptance is received by CPA Ontario.
  2. The Ambassador confirms that they are sixteen (16) years of age or over and are a resident in the Province of Ontario.
  3. The Ambassador acknowledges and agrees that the Ambassador may participate, whether virtually or in person, in CPA Ontario competitions, conferences, seminars, or other events hosted or organized by CPA Ontario (collectively, the “Events”) and, from time to time, attend the offices of CPA Ontario or other specified locations for such purposes. The Ambassador acknowledges that information relating to the Events can be found on CPA Ontario’s website at cpaontario.ca.
  4. The Ambassador consents to CPA Ontario, its successors, or others working for or on its behalf, including council members, officers, employees, agents, representatives, and any publishers, advertising agencies, promotional agencies or other media (collectively, the “Representatives”), to collect, store and use the Ambassador’s personal information for the purposes of enrolling the Ambassador with CPA Ontario and the Ambassador’s participation in the Events.
  5. The Ambassador gives permission to CPA Ontario and the Representatives to reproduce, copy, publish or otherwise use the Ambassador’s likeness, name, interview content or related material in video, internet, printed literature and print ads created for or relating to the Events or other CPA Ontario student programs, and to reproduce, copy, publish or otherwise use the Ambassador’s likeness, interview content or related material, as is or as may be reasonably retouched or edited, as taken from a photograph, videotape, recording, or any material based upon or derived therefrom. CPA Ontario’s use of the Ambassador’s likeness, name, interview content or related material will be limited to recruitment activities and related purposes, and CPA Ontario will make no other use of the Ambassador’s likeness, name, interview content or related material without the prior permission of the Ambassador.
  6. The Ambassador agrees that CPA Ontario has the right, in its sole discretion, to require proof of identity or eligibility from the Ambassador prior to accepting the Ambassador’s application. The Ambassador acknowledges that failure to provide such proof in a timely manner may result in the Ambassador’s application being denied.
  7. The Ambassador acknowledges and agrees that they have no claim for any compensation or benefit from CPA Ontario or any Representative or other third party arising from this Agreement.
  8. The Ambassador consents to the collection, use and disclosure of the Ambassador’s personal information as described in the CPA Ontario Privacy Policy and further consents to CPA Ontario sharing the Ambassador’s personal information with teachers at their high school or post-secondary institution for purposes of registering the Ambassador for Events.
  9. The Ambassador agrees that CPA Ontario may contact the Ambassador at the electronic contact information they have provided about CPA Ontario’s products and services or for other promotional purposes. The Ambassador confirms that they own or are authorized to use the electronic contact information they have provided. The Ambassador acknowledges that they may withdraw their consent at any time by contacting CPA Ontario at [email protected] or by mail at CPA Ontario – Marketing, 69 Bloor Street East, Toronto, Ontario M4W 1B3.
  10. The Ambassador agrees to release, indemnify and hold harmless CPA Ontario and the Representatives from and against any and all claims, actions, damages, injuries, costs or expenses (including reasonable legal costs and expenses), incurred or arising as a result of this Agreement, including without limitation, any claim based on invasion of privacy, defamation, breach of intellectual property rights or right of publicity.
