Call for Council Nominations

Council seeks candidates to support the ongoing advancement of the profession in Ontario

We are pleased to announce that nominations to CPA Ontario’s Council are now open.

In today’s rapidly evolving business landscape, strong and responsive governance is more important than ever. Members in good standing who are committed to protecting the public and shaping the future of the profession in Ontario are encouraged to run for election to Council. Your leadership and insight can help ensure the profession remains resilient, accountable, and forward-thinking.

There are four seats available for election this year and Council has identified four priority skills, attributes and experiences that will complement the skill set of the existing Council and help guide the strategic direction of the organization. They are: Strategic and Transformational Leadership; Emerging Technologies, Future of Learning and Work and Business Acumen.

CPA Ontario is committed to strengthening the profession and believes that equity, diversity and inclusion are fundamental to that success. We encourage nominations from CPA members who represent the full diversity of communities across Ontario.

Please note that the nomination process closes at 5 p.m. on July 20, 2025 and the Annual General Meeting of the Members will be held on September 18, 2025.

As we begin the 2025 CPA Ontario Council election process, we want to take this opportunity to acknowledge the contribution of all our current Council members and thank our members for placing their trust in us.

For detailed information on the priority skills and attributes, and how to seek nomination please visit the candidate information page.

If you have questions, please contact General Counsel, Tom Litzgus, by email.
