Rinna is the national leader of Grant Thornton’s ESG and Sustainability practice and a consulting member of Grant Thornton International’s Sustainability Steering Committee.  

Rinna is one of the leaders of the National Accounting Standards team at the firm, overseeing and participating in initiatives related to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE) and other Canadian frameworks. Drawing on more than two decades of experience in public practice, Rinna helps businesses and accounting professionals connect the strategic and financial dots when it comes to quantifying and disclosing ESG risks and opportunities. 

Rinna is a member of the Financial Reporting Advisory Committee of the Canadian Securities Administrators and the Professional Advisory Committee of the Real Property Association of Canada (REALPAC). In these roles, Rinna helps businesses of all size manage risks, assess complex and judgmental financial and sustainability reporting issues, and educate accounting professionals and business leaders on standards and requirements.
