Welcome to CPA Ontario
This is an exciting time for the accounting profession in Canada. Most of our nation’s accounting professionals are unifying as one single, strong profession under the banner of Chartered Professional Accountants. The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario became a member of CPA Canada in January 2013 and now uses the name Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario. As well, all of our Members now carry a new CPA in addition to their legacy designation.
As part of this transition to CPA Ontario, our website and telephone system have undergone major changes including a change of address to www.cpaontario.ca. Should you encounter any difficulties as a result of this transition, please contact us for assistance.
This issue includes: Celebrating Ontario's 59 New Fellows; The Case of the CPA Caught in the Middle; 2013 ICAO Award of Outstanding Merit Recipients; Technology Trends - Big Changes in the Wind; Finding Help in the Fight Against Stress; and much more.

The use of your CPA designation in conjunction with your CA became mandatory on July 1, 2013. This page will provide you with guidance on the use of the CPA designation in Ontario.

The 2013-2014 Fall/Winter Professional Development program runs from mid-October through to the end of February, and has over 427 sessions in 27 different locations.
CPA Ontario has a number of volunteer opportunities for senior Members to serve the profession and the public as members of its Committees.
