Johanne Charbonneau is a leader in broader public sector finance and governance whose career has included VP/CFO roles at CBC/Radio-Canada, the International Development Research Centre, and the Canada Deposit Insurance Corporation. A Chartered Director, she has served on the boards of numerous institutions in the banking and finance sector, as well as health-care leaders such as Grand Challenges Canada/Grand Défis Canada and the Mach-Gaensslen Foundation. She was elected a Fellow of the Certified General Accountants of Canada in 2013.

Alan T. Mak

Alan Mak is a partner at Ferguson + Mak, a forensic and litigation accounting firm based in Toronto. Alan's practice includes financial investigations and he has appeared as an expert witness before federal and provincial courts, the Senate of Canada and regulatory/quasi-judicial panels. A graduate of the Schulich School of Business at York University, Alan has held teaching positions at Schulich and the University of Toronto. He was elected a fellow of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario in 2016.

Nigel White

Nigel White has a distinguished record of service in the municipal government sector and community engagement. A past president of the Municipal Finance Officers Association of Ontario, with more than 35 years’ experience in senior finance roles, Nigel also served in senior volunteer roles at the Association of Kinsmen and Kinette Clubs of Canada and the World Council of Young Men’s Service Clubs – Americas Region. He was elected a fellow of The Society of Management Accountants of Canada in 2003.

Anita K. Ferrari

Anita Ferrari recently retired as a partner with Grant Thornton in Toronto, after serving on numerous committees and holding a number of roles within the firm, including on its National Management Committee. She obtained her Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Toronto in 1983 and her Chartered Accountant designation in 1985. Her longstanding contribution to the profession through volunteer service was recognized in 2009 when Anita was elected a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario.
