How Does Mediation Work?
Clients or CPAs may initiate mediation to help resolve simple issues related to fees charged for public accounting services. Volunteer CPAs review the disputes. As such, the service is only intended to cover simple fee matters, where the amount of fees are modest. To proceed with mediation, both parties must agree to the terms outlined in the CPA Ontario authorization letter. Once CPA Ontario receives a signed letter, a mediator is appointed and will contact both parties.
