Discover your path to enter the program

Applying for Admission

If you meet the program entrance requirements, you are ready to apply. Follow the steps below to begin.

1. Create Your Account

A. Go to the online portal.

B. Select “Create an Account” (or if you already have a CPA Ontario ID, please follow the instructions on the portal).

C. Fill in the required data.

D. After your account is created, you will receive an email containing your CPA Ontario ID which you will use to log in.

A. Log in to the online portal with your CPA Ontario ID and select "Transcript Assessment Application" in the left navigation.

B. Fill in “education” information. If you were a student in the CGA program in good standing, the system will recognize the transfer credits that you have received or courses you have completed with CGA Ontario.

C. Enter the courses you completed in your post-secondary program that qualify for exemption, including the date you completed these courses and the corresponding grade.

D. Select "Next" which will present you with your preliminary results.

E. Complete the payment process and continue to step 3. The fee for transcript assessments is $150 +HST.

A. After creating your account and paying the fee, you will receive an email with instructions on submitting your academic transcripts and other supporting documentation. Follow the instructions carefully.

B. Request official transcripts from each post-secondary institution you attended, and keep the request confirmations. In all cases, official transcripts must be original transcripts issued by the institution's Registrar's Office.  There are two ways you can submit your official transcript(s):

1. Mailed directly from the post-secondary's institution in a sealed envelope.

2. Delivered in person in a sealed envelope from the post-secondary institution.

C. You will receive an email with your transcript assessment results within four to six weeks (six to eight for international transcripts) with details on how to proceed.

4. Enrol

A. Refer to the course schedules for course dates and enrolment deadlines.

B. Log in to the online portal. Select your course(s), pay the fee and get started on your path to your Advanced Certificate in Accounting and Finance.
