2017 Annual Student Fee

Each year, students are required to remit an Annual Student Fee (ASF) in order to maintain their status in good standing with CPA Ontario. The ASF is used to develop, enhance and deliver the CPA certification program, and its prerequisites, so that we can continue to provide the best education and support for students.

The 2017 ASF is $600* (plus HST) and covers the period of January 1, 2017 to December 31, 2017.

Students that have not paid their 2017 ASF by April 3, 2017 have been suspended, as per Regulation 4-2.

Suspension has a major impact on your status as a student of CPA Ontario as you lose the rights and privileges of a student. This includes the right to refer to yourself as a student in the CPA certification program, the right to enrol in any aspect of the program, as well as the right to have any practical experience recognized during the period of suspension.

We encourage you to reinstate your student status by remitting the items listed below by Monday, June 5, 2017 to Customer Service:

Students who do not reinstate by Monday, June 5, 2017 will be deregistered as per Regulation 4-2, two months from the suspension date. Refer here for details about the consequences of deregistration.

For more information, please refer to the ASF FAQs.

* $300 (plus HST) for students in approved co-op programs.
