Practical Experience

Put your formal learning to work

Practical experience is where you take your academic knowledge to the next level. CPA students apply and develop professional skills through hands-on work experiences in a real-world setting.

Practical experience (PE) is a mandatory component of the CPA certification program. As a student, you must complete a minimum 30 months of PE while documenting and reporting your development using the Practical Experience Reporting Tool (PERT).
