CPA Certification Program
Ontario CPA-Accredited Programs
Under the new CPA Path, post-secondary institutions (PSIs) will be able to apply for CPA accreditation and, if granted, students from those post-secondary institutions may be exempt from any or all of the modules depending on the level of accreditation received.
Students enrolled in a CPA-Accredited program should not submit a transcript assessment request directly to CPA Ontario. Transcript assessments, student registration and enrolment in the Professional Education Program (CPA PEP) and/or Common Final Examination (CFE) will be facilitated with the CPA-Accredited program faculty. Please contact your CPA-Accredited program faculty for more information on the process.
For the complete list of PSIs that have been approved for CPA accreditation under the new CPA Certification Program, please view the University Programs Accredited by the CPA Profession.
CPA-Accredited graduates are not required to submit official transcripts until completion of the graduate component of the CPA-Accredited program requirements. This may include conferral of a graduate diploma, Masters of Accounting (MAcc), Masters of Management and Professional Accounting (MMPA), or Masters of Business Administration (MBA) where applicable.
An official transcript must be issued by the post-secondary institution's Registrar’s Office. All official transcripts should be sealed and mailed to CPA Ontario at the following address:
Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario
Please note: CPA Ontario may require submission of supplementary documentation, including transcripts from all previously attended post-secondary institutions.
For any transfer credits, a transfer credit letter will be required. View CPA Ontario's Policy on the Recognition of Transfer Credit Courses.
