CPA Resources 

The use of your CPA designation in conjunction with your legacy CA, legacy CMA or legacy CGA designation is mandatory.  For detailed information,  please refer to Guidance on the Use of the CPA Designation in Ontario

 

Common Areas of Designation use:

Below are some of the common areas of designation use that you will need to review and update. This list is only illustrative and not exhaustive. 

  • Business card
  • E-mail and hard copy signature block
  • All references to Members' names in marketing and advertisements
  • Individual names listed on letterhead
  • Social networking media


 

Firm Names  

The rules around the use of the CPA designation in firm names are distinct from those governing an individual. The deadline for firms that use a designation in their name to make the change to CPA is January 1, 2018.
