Emergency Professional Assistance Listing
In need of emergency assistance for your practice?
CPA Ontario maintains a listing of members who are interested in assisting fellow practitioners if an emergency situation arises where practice continuation arrangements are not in place. The objective is to ensure clients’ needs continue to be met even when the practitioner is not able to work. The Emergency Professional Assistance Listing ("EPAL") is a registry of members who are willing to assist when a practitioner suffers a temporary or permanent disability. The engagement terms are determined by members or their representatives.
Please note that CPA Ontario does not conduct any due diligence on the suitability of members on the Emergency Professional Assistance Listing ("EPAL"). Should you retain a member on the EPAL, you do so at your own risk and cost. CPA Ontario accepts no responsibility for the actions or omissions of any members on the EPAL.
CPA Ontario highly recommends that each practitioner set up their own continuation plan well in advance of any possible future problems.
